Dwalin´s Axes were created for the film by the artists at Weta Workshop. Incredibly tough, yet safer than sharpened steel blades, they have been finished to a standard that can confidently be displayed in 3D, high resolution, at 48 frames per second in the finished movie. These prop replicas have been created from molds of the original weapons used in the film, using the same high impact urethane material as the props on set and finished using the same techniques and materials.
Dwalin´s Axes come with a reinforced polystone wall plaque for display, pride of place, on your wall. Dwalin´s Axes are part of a range of high end authentic prop replicas from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. All created by the artists in the filmmaking community of Wellington, New Zealand.
