This is the first edition/first printing (this set was never reprinted) of the Dutch translation The Lord of the Ring, the very first translation in the world. Three hardback with dustjackets designed by Cees Kelfkens. Only 3000 sets were printed, making this even more rare than the first British edition (yet a lot more affordable). Antiquarian: good condition (the books are in good condition, with stains on the bookblock, owner's name on the firt flyleaf of every book, the dustjackets have some wear and are covered in plastic). Includes both maps, but the loose map has been replaced by a later, smaller version.*
